FTC Robotics Jumpstart Workshop

Master the Fundamentals of Competition

A 2-day or four half days training and hands-on workshop for the rookie teams to learn FTC hardware/software knowledge, including robot structure, simple drivetrain building, programming, and driving, while providing an overview of the FTC new competition structure and game rules for the most recent season, and how to start and run a robotics team.

Led by experienced coaches and student leaders.

​

Prefect for:

  • Students (rookie or 1 year experience) interested in robotics competition

  • Students who want a comprehensive understanding of robotics competitions

  • Future robotics team leaders or founders

  • Parents interested in starting a team or becoming a coach or mentor

 

Workshop Agenda

Day 1

  • Robot structure, controller, sensors, actuators

  • Build a simple drivetrain, programming and testing (motors, servos, and sensors)

 

Day 2

  • Learn/understand how the bowling system works

  • Study a CAD and demo FTC robot mechanic design

  • Practice robot driving and control

  • Overview of FTC competition structure and game rules

  • Share info on how to build a successful robotics team

Suggested Donation: $125 (Includes a $100 contribution to our programs and $25 to cover two catered lunches).
