Students recognized a systemic gap.

Robotics students saw recurring barriers - unstable space, limited tools, unstructured mentorship, and a lack of sustainable support — affecting teams across the community.

We turned experience into evidence.

Outreach across five Eastside cities and analysis of 378 FIRST outreach cases confirmed the challenges were structural, not isolated.

Designing the solution.

Operational model, partnerships, and infrastructure planning transformed research into a scalable community framework.

Vision became organization.

Report released, website launched, fundraising began.

The community gained a shared space.

12 teams served; weekly mentoring, workshops, and events led by community teams - 600+ participants impacted.

Regional validation.

WA FIRST leadership visit affirmed SBC’s role as a growing part of the regional FIRST ecosystem.
