STEM Bridge Mentor Hub & Community Chapters

Connecting Teams, Mentors, and Students
IMG_0186.JPG

The STEM Bridge Mentor Hub is a community-driven resource for FTC and FLL teams during the competition season. Led by experienced coaches, mentors, student leaders, and robotics teams, the Hub provides hands-on guidance in mechanics, electronics, coding, and competition preparation.

Who It’s For

  • Rookie Teams: Build skills and strategy confidence

  • Independent Students: Start or join a FIRST team

  • Competitive Teams: Sharpen mechanics, programming, etc.

  • Parents & Mentors: Learn to coach, mentor and lead

Community Mentor Chapters

Open your garage or workspace to support the FIRST community. By joining as a Mentor Chapter, your team can:

  • Support local rookie teams

  • Connect with the broader FIRST/STEM community

  • Share expertise and experience

  • Expand STEM opportunities for under-resourced and underrepresented students

Flexible Participation

Mentor rookie teams by appointment or during walk-in hours.
Host Open Visit Day(s) for interested students and families.

There’s no fixed format—participate in the way that works best for your team.

How It Works

  • Submit your team information to be listed on our website for visibility (team number, team name, city, contact e-mail, Brief Description of Mentoring Support Offered)

  • Offer mentoring sessions during the competition season (weekly or flexible)

  • Teams operate independently
