Our Global Impact – Last Updated: April 2026

Our Growing Impact

In 2025, SBC directly supported 14 robotics, rocket, and drone competition teams through mentoring, workshops, and community-led events, reaching over 600 participants locally.

Beyond the local community, resources developed through SBC initiatives have reached learners and robotics communities across 79 countries, reflecting our belief that STEM knowledge, mentorship, and opportunity should be more accessible to communities everywhere.

The STEM Bridge Center (SBC) is the community’s answer to the critical challenges of resources, guidance, and sustainability faced by robotics and hands-on STEM communities. We serve as a collaborative hub for the FIRST® and STEM ecosystem in Bellevue and beyond — a place where students, mentors, educators, and communities come together to collaborate, innovate, and grow.

At the same time, SBC supports under-resourced and underrepresented students by helping expand access to hands-on STEM learning opportunities, mentorship, and community support.

More than just a facility, we are a launchpad.

While rooted in the local community, SBC is built around a broader vision: strengthening STEM communities through shared infrastructure, open learning resources, mentorship networks, and student-led initiatives that can support learners both online and in person, locally and globally.

Our unique “by students, for students” philosophy is our foundation. We believe that by giving young people the agency to lead their own communities, they don’t just participate in STEM — they help shape its future. This is where the proven project-based learning model of FIRST® is amplified by a multi-generational mentorship network, creating an environment ripe for discovery.

More Than Just Robots.

We cultivate future-ready leaders, distinguished not only by their technical skills, but by their collaborative spirit, social responsibility, and drive to create meaningful impact. This is our vision for what modern STEM education can and should be.
